Craigslist Sting in NH
A New Hampshire prostitution sting operating on craigslist.com has resulted in not only arrests but job loss for a couple of prominent people.
One of them is Richard Osborne, 64, the voice of the University of New Hampshire hockey team for 25 years and communications director for the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord and the husband of state Rep. Jessie Osborne, D-Merrimack. Osborne reportedly drove himself to the ‘meet up’ in a state vehicle.
Another is Shaun Menzie, 43, of Atkinson, executive director of the Boys Club of Haverhill, Mass.
Both men, along with four other men were charged last week as a result of the prostitution sting in which roughly three dozen people made serious inquiries in response to several ads on craigslist.com.
The sting was conducted at a house by an undercover female officer and female volunteer with uniformed officers in hiding until money was offered for sex.
The six are set for arraignment on misdemeanor charges on August 27th in Plaistow District Court.
