Senior Citizen Whoopsy

Sixty-seven-year old John W. Thomas of Villisca, Iowa, shown above has pleaded guilty to attempted enticement of a child and has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. Thomas must serve at least five years of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
Sixty-year old Dennis Goodman, of Kirksville, Iowa, a retired pastor, will face the same charge at trial early next month. Goodman retired to Kirksville after living in Wellsville, Mo., where he was a preacher and music teacher in the public school system.
Both men were caught up in an internet sex sting in May.
Authorities say the two men tried to arrange a meeting to engage in sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy they met on the Internet.
That 13-year-old boy was in actuality a Kirksville Police Department officer conducting the sting.
