Charles Edward Floyd
Charles Edward Floyd, 37, a Broward County, Florida deputy sheriff is being investigated on allegations he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman he was supposed to transport to jail.
Allegedly Floyd picked up three inmates June 13 from a satellite jail in Pompano Beach for transport to the north Broward jail but when he arrived at the main jail he only dropped off two of the women.
The third female inmate claims that Floyd took her to a closed business where he had sex with her despite her saying “no” at least twice. She says he told her not to tell anyone and “this don’t have to be a one-time thing.” She says that Floyd then dropped off her off at the jail. The alleged victim made her complaints against Floyd to detectives the next day when released.
Reportedly DNA was found in the woman’s underwear that matched neither her or her boyfriend. Detectives have sought DNA samples from Deputy Floyd.
Floyd had not been arrested or charged as of late last week. He has been put on paid leave.
