Kathryn Brauch
Kathryn Brauch, 22, of Huntington Beach, California was arrested earlier this month in Potsdam, New York for the rape of a 13-year-old boy.

Now Brauch is facing additional charges, 3rd degree criminal sexual act, involving the sexual abuse of the same boy. This adds to the previous charges of rape 2nd degree, criminal sexual act 2nd degree and disseminating indecent material to minors.
Even more surprising is the allegation that the boy’s mother, Maria A. Conklin, 40, who has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, permitted Brauch to move into the home she shared with her son and to pursue the relationship with the boy.
Allegedly Brauch met the boy on the internet where both were players of the on-line game Runescape. It is allaeged that eventually Brauch sent him a cell phone, which they then used to trade pornographic photos of one another and that she ultimately traveled cross country on July 1st to have sex with the boy. Brauch was arrested on July 19th, after a “concerned citizen” in California contacted Potsdam Police about the possible improper relationship between Brauch and the boy.
Brauch is being held in the St. Lawrence County jail on $50,000 bail.
