Special Agent Henry Kim Stung
Special Agent Henry Kim, 40, the supervisor of the state Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement’s gang enforcement team in Los Angeles, has been busted in a drug sting by Long Beach cops.
Kim, a former LAPD cop and 18 year veteran law enforcer has been charged with dispensing drugs without a license, prescribing a controlled substance, unlawful prescribing of dangerous drugs without a prescribing physician and unlawfully using the Internet to deliver dangerous drugs without a prescription.
Allegedly Kim ran an advertisement on Craigslist.com offering to sell 50 Cialis pills for $250.
Undercover Long Beach cops answered the ad and on Saturday allegedly met up with Kim to transact the drug deal. After allegedly purchasing the drugs, the cops arrested Kim on suspicion of selling a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, seeing as how his official firearm was in his vehicle at the time of the bust.
Kim was held in jail on $30,000 bond following his arrest until he was arraigned on Tuesday at which time he was released on his own recognizance, what with him being a respected member of the law enforcement community and all, apparently.
Kim is scheduled to be back in court on August 21st.
