Daniel J. Barron Busted
Daniel J. Barron, 56, of Boonton Township, N.J., a CBS-TV sports producer has been busted in an undercover Internet sting conducted by the St. Lucie County Florida Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say he tried to make arrangements to film himself having sex with a child.
Reportedly the undercover officer entered an Internet chat room titled “Open minded parents” and posed as a father with a young daughter. It is alleged that Barron approached the undercover investigator in the chat room and arranged for the “father” to deliver him his 11-year-old daughter when Barron would be in town to cover to the Dolphins game Sunday.
Barron was arrested when he drove to a parking lot where he thought he would meet the girl and her father.
Investigators say that Barron used his CBS supplied laptop computer to conduct the on-line communications in pursuit of the “child”.
