Ernest Roberts Guilty
Ernest Roberts, 47, of Maui, Hawaii has been convicted by a Honolulu jury of electronic enticement of a child.

Roberts whose defense was predicate on being “entrapped” was unsuccessful in convincing the jury that law enforcement agents fooled him into doing something he was not inclined to do.
Reportedly Roberts spent months online with undercover police who claimed to be a young girl named Mariah Sato. It was alleged that Roberts solicited the girl to meet him for sex. When Roberts showed up near the designated meeting place he was arrested.
Roberts is scheduled for sentencing in December. He faces at least a year in jail and being required to register as a sex offender.
